Quiet Changes & A Promise
Sometimes life demands that you pull back a little and take a break. For me, my non-Nattypat Crochet professional life had some major developments over the last year which pushed Nattypat into the background. That's right, I'm human and, like most of us, there simply isn't enough time in the world to do everything. But—I'm slowly getting back into the groove and will be posting some new Nattypat content soon :)
So, what have I been up to? Well, if you haven't visited in a while, you may notice that I changed the site up a bit. It's now powered by Squarespace instead of Wordpress. Yes, I know this may not sound like a big deal, but when you're doing it solo, it is. Trust me. And, what about those other non-Nattypat things I said I was up to? Just over a year ago, I started working as an editorial designer for Modern Dog and Modern Cat magazines. To put it bluntly... my editorial designer dreams started coming true! (If you didn't know I'm a graphic designer by trade and working at a magazine was always my goal). So exciting! Plus, I am now in my third year of teaching in the publishing department at Simon Fraser University. So basically, I'm a two-job busy lady who struggles to pick up a crochet hook in between bouts of napping. I'll be honest... it isn't always pretty.
Now... what's to come? I've had a few crochet patterns nearly finished or in progress for quite some time (in fact, so much time, it embarrasses me) and I'll be getting them published soon. Plus, I'll be sharing crochet goodness from around the web as/when I find it. So let's make a promise to each other...
